There are moments when something comes into your life at exactly the right time, almost like it was waiting for you all along. That’s how Journey of Souls by Michael Newton found its way to me.
I was in the middle of one of the biggest transformations of my life, questioning my beliefs and feeling pretty lost when it came to spirituality. Then, out of nowhere, the universe dropped this book into my lap. Well, not completely out of nowhere. I’d actually saved it on Pinterest about a year before. I remember being curious back then, enough to add it to my Amazon cart… and then forget all about it. Fast forward to me randomly starting a free trial on Audible, and boom, there it was again.
From the very first chapter, I was hooked. Michael Newton’s descriptions of life between lives, reincarnation, and the soul’s journey didn’t just sound interesting, they felt right. Like deep down, I already knew these things but didn’t have the words to explain them until I heard them in this book. It wasn’t just a book, it was like someone was speaking directly to my soul and telling me things I had always felt but didn’t know how to articulate.

It also made me think a lot about belief in general. No matter where you stand. Whether you believe in God, the universe, astrology, or just in the magic of being alive, I think we all need something to believe in. Something that gives us purpose and makes us feel like there’s more to life than just the daily grind. Even if that something is as simple as being present and appreciating what’s in front of you, it still has power.
For me, Journey of Souls opened up a whole new way of thinking about life and death, one that actually gave me hope. For years, I’d struggled with my faith and felt disconnected from my Christian upbringing. Newton’s work didn’t feel like it was tearing down those beliefs; it felt like it was expanding them. Suddenly, things that used to confuse me started to make sense in a completely new way.
One of the parts that hit me the hardest was when Newton described how souls review their past lives and learn from them before moving on to their next incarnation. It was such a powerful image, our souls growing, evolving, and constantly learning, and it felt like an undeniable truth. I actually remember tearing up because it resonated so deeply. It felt like coming home to myself.
I was so excited about everything I was learning that I couldn’t wait to tell Josh. Over the years, we’d had plenty of conversations about spirituality, but this time felt different. I needed him to understand what I was feeling, not just as my husband but as my partner on this weird, wonderful journey of figuring life out. So I told him everything, about the soul’s journey, about what happens between lives, and how our souls keep evolving across lifetimes.
And he didn’t just nod and smile and pretend to listen (like I may have expected). He really listened. He asked questions. He was interested. And then, before I even finished the book, he downloaded it himself and started listening.
By the time we both finished it, we were hooked. It felt like every conversation we had circled back to something we’d read. We started diving deeper into these ideas together, and suddenly, we were growing in a way that felt totally new.
Looking back, I can see that Journey of Souls wasn’t just a book, it was a turning point. It gave me the courage to trust my own path again, and it helped Josh and me find this shared sense of purpose we didn’t even know we were missing. We weren’t just healing individually anymore. We were healing together, and it felt sacred.

Since reading Journey of Souls, I’ve found myself looking for deeper meanings in many other aspects of life, as if the universe itself was gently nudging me toward greater understanding. One of the most eye-opening things I’ve learned about is astrology. At first, I was skeptical, but as I began to explore my own birth chart and learn about how the positions of the stars influence our lives, I started to notice the subtle ways astrology reflects the energy of my own experiences. There’s something deeply comforting about knowing that the universe has a plan, and sometimes, things are meant to happen exactly as they do, at the right time, in the right way. The more I’ve embraced this understanding, the more I’ve felt aligned with the flow of life, instead of constantly trying to force things to happen.
Manifestation has also become a huge part of my journey. There’s something truly powerful in the practice of naming your desires and intentions, and then releasing them to the universe. It’s not just about wishing for things to fall into place, but rather setting clear goals and believing that they’re already on their way. The act of thinking about what you want, whether it’s a career goal, a personal dream, or a change in perspective, actually begins to draw those things into your life. I’ve been amazed at how often things have aligned, sometimes in unexpected ways, just by focusing my energy on what I truly want. It’s like a cosmic game of match-making, and all I had to do was ask for what I wanted and trust that it was already coming my way.

Meditation, too, has opened up an entirely new realm of possibilities for me. In a world that often feels chaotic, meditation has been my anchor. It forces me to be present in the moment, to let go of the noise and just breathe. But what I didn’t expect was how meditation could take me to other worlds, how the simple act of sitting quietly and tuning into my breath could lead to profound insights, moments of clarity, and even glimpses of something greater than myself. It’s as though, in the silence, I can hear the whispers of the universe, and when I let go of the need to control everything, I’m guided to exactly where I need to be.
As I’ve delved deeper into these practices, I’ve also come to appreciate the scientific side of it all (specifically the concept of energy). There’s a law of physics that states energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. To me, this principle is a perfect parallel to the idea of the soul. Just like energy, our souls can’t be created or destroyed. They simply continue, evolving and transforming as they move through different lifetimes.
No matter what you believe or how you connect to the world around you, I encourage you to explore the practices that resonate with you, whether it’s through manifestation, astrology, meditation, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the present. The energy you put into the universe matters, and embracing these tools can help you align with the flow of life in a way that’s unique to you. What practices have helped you find meaning and connection?
With love & light,
