Awakening to Your Inner Knowing

For a long time, I ignored my intuition completely. Growing up in the circumstances I did, and probably as an undiagnosed neurodivergent kid, I learned to distrust my own mind. I told myself over and over that whatever I was thinking was wrong, and everyone else knew better. I ignored my thoughts, my gut feelings, even the physical sensations of discomfort that my body gave me.

It was not until I became a mom that I started noticing them again. Sometimes it was something small, like a tone in my child’s voice, a cry from another room, or the way they said my name. I could feel immediately when something was not right. Slowly, I began to trust those feelings. And I began to listen to them.

Over time, I realized these feelings were not random. They were part of a deeper awareness I could learn to recognize and trust.

As I have grown personally, emotionally, and spiritually, I have learned how important it is to pay attention to that inner voice. I try to let my gut guide my decisions, especially in the small everyday choices where logic alone does not have the answer. I notice the moments that feel aligned or uneasy, and I let my intuition help me navigate those situations. The more I do this, the more connected I feel to myself. I feel capable, grounded, and alive with a knowing that I did not realize I had all along. Thinking about where this will take me and how much further I can grow fills me with excitement and hope.

What is Intuition?

Intuition lives inside you as a sense of knowing. Sometimes it appears as a thought that keeps returning, a feeling in your body, or a clear sense of what feels right or wrong in a decision. It grows from your experiences, your understanding, and the things your mind notices beneath the surface. If you pay attention, you begin to recognize when something resonates deeply or when a situation feels off, even before you can explain why. Intuition is always there, guiding you and helping you move through life with awareness and clarity, if you’re willing to accept it.

I experience intuition as a thread connecting me to something larger, what I feel as God, Source, or universal consciousness. That energy flows through every person, every creature, and every living thing on Earth. When I tune into it, my intuition becomes clearer, and I feel a sense of alignment with the world around me. Listening to that inner guidance is a form of awakening. It reminds me that God is alive within each of us, and with that, we are all deeply connected.

Learning to Trust Your Intuition

  • Start by noticing small signals. Pay attention to feelings of discomfort, excitement, hesitation, or clarity in everyday situations. These are the ways your intuition communicates.
  • Pause before making decisions. Take a breath and check in with yourself. Ask, “What feels aligned here?” and let that awareness guide your choice.
  • Record your experiences. Journaling what you notice and the outcomes helps you recognize patterns and strengthens trust in yourself.
  • Practice with low-stakes choices. Let your intuition lead in simple decisions like what to eat, which route to take to the store, or whether to accept a casual invitation. The more you practice, the more confident you become in recognizing and trusting your inner guidance.
  • Reflect on the results. Notice how your life changes as you follow your intuition. Celebrate the moments you trust yourself. They show you how capable you are of navigating life with awareness.

Every time you follow that inner voice, you step into a higher version of yourself. Someone who listens, trusts, and moves through life with confidence.

“Every time you follow your inner voice, you step into a higher version of yourself.”

Listening to intuition is not just about making better choices. It is about growing into the fullest version of yourself. It is not always easy, especially if you have spent years ignoring it. But it has always been present, guiding you in ways you can begin to feel.

When you notice it, trust it, and allow it to lead, you open the door to transformation, clarity, and a deeper connection with yourself and the energy that flows through all life. Each step you take in alignment with your inner knowing reveals more of who you truly are and who you are capable of becoming.

With love & light,
